MyLav Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory is seeking a Veterinarian with experience in Veterinary Pathology for an ongoing collaboration in histopathological diagnostics, with caseload primarily consisting of canine and feline biopsies. The work is carried out remotely via a digital pathology platform using scanned slides, with the aim of ensuring accurate reports and turnaround times consistent with clinical needs.

Job Description:
The candidate will be responsible for the microscopic examination of anatomic pathology samples and the timely preparation of reports. Compliance with caseload expectations and turnaround times is required, as well as availability to provide phone consultations to clients when necessary. The position also involves collaboration and discussion with other pathologists, interaction with laboratory staff to optimize diagnostic workflows, and active contribution to MyLav’s growth through participation in clinical-scientific meetings and the development/maintenance of professional relationships with clients.

Responsibilities:
• A good level of autonomy in reporting is required, including the correct setup and interpretation of immunohistochemistry investigations;
• Familiarity with digital reporting is preferred; alternatively, brief initial training on the use of the platform will be provided;

Requirements:
• Degree in Veterinary Medicine and at least 2 years of documented experience in the examination and interpretation of diagnostic histological samples in companion animals;
• Good diagnostic competence in histopathology, including the ability to recognize inflammatory, degenerative, infectious, and neoplastic lesions and to draft accurate reports;
• Certification (preferably ACVP or ECVP) is considered a plus;
• Good knowledge of the English language, written and spoken, for consulting scientific literature, writing reports, and communicating in an international environment;
• Service-oriented attitude and ability to organize and prioritize daily work;
• Ongoing commitment to staying up to date on relevant topics in veterinary medicine.
